Before we begin, we should understand that using the technique to hack wifi network for personal benefit is something that we personally don’t encourage. How it is done?
When a data packet is sent on a wifi network the data sent carries the encrypted wifi key so as to keep the data safe and trustworthy over the network.
Network key or the wifi password is attached with every data packet as to communicate between devices (primarily between wifi device and router).
This ensures only those connections which have the access rights to connect to wifi router. Non-authorized users cannot snoops in the network. The data packets travel in encrypted form to keep it safe from hackers.
However a hacker keeps a track of these data packets, monitoring several thousands of such packets to hack wifi network password. The packets are then broken and the network key is analyzed. The analysis is simply done by checking out the repeated strings of encrypted data.
As every packet contains the encrypted string of network key and remains the same throughout in all the packets. This particular string is decrypted to get the network key or wifi password.

Theoretically it may appear a simple task, but it is not that simple practically. Though there are many tools available claiming to provide easy hacking ways you cannot completely rely on them.

It does all the hard work for you. It sniffs the wifi data packets; a thousands of them are saved and analyzed. Its cracker then cracks the password by decrypting the key.
